Warehouse removalists for Brisbane's industrial precincts
A warehouse relocation is measured in lost dispatch days, not just truckloads. Stock has to keep reaching customers, equipment has to be working at the new site, and the lease end does not wait. As warehouse removalists in Brisbane, we plan the move around your operation first and the truck second.
Brisbane Moving Company is based in Slacks Creek, in the City of Logan, about 22 kilometres south-south-east of the Brisbane CBD in a straight line. That puts us close to Logan's industrial areas, such as the Crestmead Industrial Estate, and within reach of the city's major precincts: Australia TradeCoast around the Port of Brisbane and Brisbane Airport, including Eagle Farm; the heavy industrial area of Acacia Ridge, east of Beaudesert Road; and Yatala, beside the Pacific Motorway in the City of Gold Coast. We also relocate warehouses and storerooms across Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay.
Our approach suits businesses that want a clear plan: online retailers moving into a bigger unit, trade suppliers consolidating two sites, showrooms with stock out the back, and companies moving an office and warehouse together. If reliability matters more to you than the lowest quote, we would like to hear about your relocation.

Scoping a warehouse relocation: what we need to know
The quality of a warehouse move is set at the scoping stage. A pallet count alone is not enough to choose the right truck and crew, so we ask for the detail that actually drives the job.
Stock
How much is packed in cartons, how much is loose and how much sits on pallets? Give us approximate quantities, carton sizes and weights, and identify anything fragile, high-value or easily damaged.
Shelving, racking and benches
Tell us what is freestanding shelving, what is bolted pallet racking and what is workbenches, packing stations or office furniture. Each is handled differently, as explained below.
Equipment and machinery
List each item with its dimensions and weight, and send photos. Heavy, oversized or specialised items are assessed individually so the right crew, equipment and vehicle are allocated, and anything we cannot handle safely is identified before you book, not on the day.
What is not coming
Obsolete stock, broken pallets and old furniture belong on a separate disposal list. There is no point paying to move them twice.
There is no fixed item limit on a warehouse move. Capacity depends on the truck allocated and the total volume and weight of what is moving, which is why an accurate scope matters. Photos, a floor plan of both sites and a rough inventory are the fastest route to a reliable quote.
Docks, roller doors and forklifts
Access at an industrial site works differently from access at a home. Before quoting, we ask about:
- Loading points. Is there a raised dock, a ground-level roller door or both? What is the door clearance, and is there hardstand where the truck can stand while loading?
- Site rules. Industrial estates and shared complexes can have rules about loading times, shared driveways and where trucks wait. Check with the property manager at both sites.
- The path inside. Mezzanines, stairs, narrow aisles and long walks from the back of the warehouse to the door all change the crew and the time.
- Lifting equipment. Forklifts, cranes, pallet handling and machinery relocation are not assumed to be part of the move. If pallets need to be lifted onto or off the truck, tell us who will supply and operate the equipment at each site. In Queensland, operating a forklift requires a high risk work licence.
Our crews bring flat dollies, hand trolleys, ratchet straps, quilted blankets and stretch wrap at no extra charge. Items over 90kg carry a $48 including GST per-item charge, as does hoisting, which is assessed individually for weight, height, access and safety.
As the business relocating, you arrange site access, loading-zone bookings and any parking permits at both premises. Disclose known access issues when you book, so we can allocate the right truck, crew and equipment.
Pallet racking, shelving and fit-out: who does what
Pallet racking is engineered storage, not furniture. Workplace safety guidance, such as WorkSafe Victoria's, is that racking should be set up and maintained to the manufacturer's instructions and Australian Standard AS 4084, that changes to its design or components should be supervised by a competent person, and that modifications should be checked by the original supplier, manufacturer or designer.
In practice, the safest sequence for most businesses is:
- Book a racking specialist to dismantle the racking at the old site and confirm the layout and load ratings for the new one.
- Have the components bundled and labelled when our crew arrives, and agree in your quote whether we are transporting them.
- Have the specialist re-install and check the racking at the new site before any stock goes onto it.
Freestanding shelving, benches, desks and similar furniture are different. Our crews handle basic dismantling and reassembly, with the tools included in the hourly rate.
Some work sits outside the moving service altogether. Licensed electricians or plumbers should disconnect and reconnect anything hard-wired or plumbed in, including machinery on dedicated power. Your IT provider should disconnect and set up computers, scanners and network equipment. We do not transport hazardous goods, so chemicals, gas bottles, flammables and similar stock need a carrier licensed for dangerous goods.
Keeping dispatch running while you move
A well-run warehouse relocation is one your customers barely notice. Three approaches make that possible.
Move out of hours
After-hours, weekend and public holiday moves are available, subject to availability. Loading after the final dispatch on a Friday and unloading over the weekend means the new site can be picking orders on Monday. Any additional charges for out-of-hours work are confirmed before booking.
Move in stages
Slow-moving stock, archive cartons and spare equipment can go first, while fast-moving lines stay put until the last load. Staging spreads the work across several shorter sessions and keeps your team picking from one site at a time.
Load in reverse
Whatever needs to be set up first at the new site should come off the truck first. Tell us the sequence, for example racking components, then benches and packing stations, then stock by zone, and we will load to match.
Facing a tight deadline because of a lease issue or an early handover? Urgent and last-minute moves are considered, subject to availability. The earlier we know, the more options you have.

Stock control and disposal on moving day
Stock that leaves one site has to arrive at the other, and someone has to be able to show it did. A simple system works well:
- Label by destination. Mark every pallet and carton with its zone or bay at the new site, matching a floor plan you share with us.
- Count each load. Nominate one person at each site who holds the stock list and checks pallet and carton counts as each load leaves and arrives.
- Separate high-value items. Keep high-value or sensitive stock together, sealed and clearly marked, and agree in advance how it is handled and where it is delivered.
- Keep a dispatch kit with you. Label printers, scanners and the paperwork your team needs on the first morning should travel with a staff member.
Anything not going to the new site can be cleared in the same project. Our junk removal service takes office furniture and equipment, boxes, packaging and general clutter to an appropriate transfer or recycling station. You pay for the time involved plus a disposal fee based on actual weight and type, from a minimum of $95 including GST, and recyclable items go to recycling facilities where practical. Hazardous materials, chemicals, asbestos, gas bottles and flammables are excluded.
Warehouse removal pricing, confirmed before you book
Warehouse moves are charged by the hour. Our hourly rates are $125 to $169 per hour + GST, depending on the type of move and truck size, for a moving truck, two professional movers and all standard equipment. For larger relocations, additional movers and larger crew and truck options are available, with the charges confirmed before booking.
Travel is charged depot-to-depot or as a call-out fee, depending on the job and location. The extras most likely to apply to a warehouse move are $48 including GST each:
- Heavy items over 90kg, per item
- Hoisting, per item
- Appliances, such as staffroom fridges, per item
- Each additional pick-up or drop-off location, such as a second warehouse or a storage unit
- Each extra trip between loading and unloading
- A driveway the truck cannot access
Waiting time is chargeable where delivery cannot be completed in a timely manner, so confirm dock and site access times in writing. Parking or permit costs apply where relevant. A deposit secures your date, the balance is payable on completion, and changes need at least 48 hours' notice. The full breakdown is on our pricing page.
Office, warehouse and storage under one plan
Many warehouse moves come with an office attached. We can scope both together so desks, records and stock are sequenced in one plan rather than two competing ones. Our office removals page explains how we handle workstations, building access and after-hours office moves.
If stock or equipment needs to sit somewhere between sites, we handle storage pick-ups and deliveries. For safes, machinery and other oversized items, see heavy and bulky item moves.
We service Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay, including relocations between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in either direction. Moving further afield? Our long-distance and interstate services cover regional and interstate relocations too.
When you request a quote, our sales team aims to call you back within five minutes during business hours (8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday). Have both addresses ready, along with your preferred dates, site access details, a rough inventory and photos of any heavy equipment, and we will start building the plan.

Warehouse move checklist
- Run a stocktake and decide what is moving, what is being sold down and what is going to disposal.
- Book a racking specialist to dismantle and re-install pallet racking, and confirm the new layout with them.
- Confirm dock times, roller-door clearances and truck access at both sites with the property manager.
- Arrange a licensed forklift operator at each site if pallets need to be lifted.
- Book licensed electricians for machinery, dedicated power and anything hard-wired.
- Label pallets and cartons by destination zone or bay, matching a floor plan of the new site.
- Nominate one person at each site to hold the stock list and check each load.
- Tell customers and suppliers your new delivery address and any change to dispatch dates.
