Brisbane office removalists who plan before they lift
An office relocation is not a house move with more desks. It runs to a lease end date, a building's rules and a team that needs to be productive again as soon as possible. As office removalists in Brisbane, we treat commercial moves as a core part of our work, and we plan them that way.
Brisbane Moving Company is based in Slacks Creek and relocates offices, studios, showrooms and warehouses across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay. That covers CBD towers with loading docks and goods lifts, converted warehouse offices in Newstead and Fortitude Valley, and the business precincts of Milton, Bowen Hills and Spring Hill.
Every commercial removal starts with the same four questions. What is moving? Where does each item belong in the new space? How do both buildings handle access? And when can the work happen without disrupting your business? Answer those properly and moving day becomes a sequence of planned steps rather than a scramble.
Our approach suits businesses that value professionalism, reliability and care over the lowest possible quote. You get a clear scope, honest pricing and a crew that treats your workplace with respect.

A business relocation plan built around how you work
A successful office relocation in Brisbane is decided well before the truck arrives. Here is how we plan yours.
1. Scope what is moving
Tell us about workstations, chairs, filing cabinets, meeting-room and reception furniture, kitchen appliances, archive boxes and boxed equipment. A floor plan or a few photos of each area help us match the truck and crew to the job, rather than guessing from a headcount.
2. Confirm access at both ends
We ask about loading docks, goods lifts, stairs, parking and the work windows each building allows. Known access issues shape the crew, equipment and timing, so we raise them at quoting, not on the day.
3. Agree the quote and secure the date
Before you book, you know the hourly rate, crew size, travel basis and any extras that apply. A deposit secures your date, and the balance is payable on completion.
4. Move in the right order
On the day, our crew wraps, loads and delivers in the sequence you need. Furniture is placed by department, zone or desk number to match your floor plan, so your team is not hunting for chairs on the first morning.
5. Settle in
Once everything is in place, our crew reassembles any furniture that was taken apart. If you have booked unpacking, we also unpack cartons and remove used packing materials, so your team walks into a working office rather than a storeroom.
After-hours office moves that protect your trading time
The real cost of an office move is often the hours your team cannot work. That is why we offer after-hours, weekend and public holiday office moves, subject to availability.
A common approach is to pack during the final working week, load after close of business on a Friday and deliver over the weekend, so the new office is ready when the working week begins. For larger workplaces, a staged move can suit better: one department or floor at a time, while the rest of the business keeps trading.
Out-of-hours work depends on building rules as much as on our calendar. Many commercial buildings limit removals to set windows, so check with building management early and pass on the times you have been given. Any additional charges for after-hours, weekend or public holiday work are confirmed with you before booking.
Facing a tight deadline, such as a lease issue or an early handover? We take urgent and last-minute office moves, subject to availability. The sooner we know, the more options there are.

Building access sorted early, from CBD towers to business parks
Access is where commercial moves are won or lost. Most Brisbane CBD towers require removalists to use a booked goods lift and loading dock, and many buildings ask contractors to work within set hours and protect lifts and common areas. Suburban business parks and strata office complexes have their own rules about parking, loading zones and shared driveways.
As the business relocating, you arrange the lift bookings, loading zones, parking permits and building access at both premises. We make that easier by telling you what to ask for: the truck and crew we are allocating, the likely duration and when we need the dock. Parking and permit costs, where they apply, form part of the move cost.
Tell us about anything that changes the job when you book: stairs instead of a lift, a long carry from the dock, a driveway the truck cannot use or a second pick-up point. These details let us allocate the right crew and equipment, and they keep your quote accurate.
One practical tip: confirm every lift and dock booking in writing. If a booking falls through and delivery cannot go ahead in a timely manner, waiting time is chargeable.
Workstations and equipment protected from old desk to new
Office furniture is built to be used, not moved. Laminate edges chip, glass tops scratch and loaded filing cabinets are heavy and awkward. Our crews wrap and protect every piece using equipment that is included in the hourly rate at no extra charge:
- Quilted moving blankets and furniture pads
- Large stretch wrap for chairs, cabinets and upholstery
- Flat dollies and hand trolleys for desks, cabinets and archive boxes
- Ratchet straps to secure the load in transit
- Bubble wrap and packing paper on request
- Tools for basic furniture dismantling and reassembly
We dismantle and reassemble desks, tables and similar office furniture where needed, then place each piece where your floor plan says it belongs. Monitors and boxed computer equipment travel wrapped and secured once your IT provider has disconnected them.
Confidential records deserve a plan of their own. Tell us which cartons hold sensitive files and we can agree how they are handled, for example kept together and delivered straight to a nominated room.
Heavy or unusual items, such as safes or stone-topped boardroom tables, are assessed individually so the right crew and equipment are on site.
Clear commercial removal pricing, confirmed before you book
Office removals are charged by the hour. Our hourly rates are $125 to $169 per hour + GST, depending on the type of move and truck size, for a moving truck, two professional movers and all standard moving equipment. Additional movers and larger crew and truck options are available for bigger or time-sensitive relocations, with the charges confirmed before booking.
Travel is charged depot-to-depot or as a call-out fee, depending on the job and location. Some items and access conditions carry an extra $48 including GST each:
- Appliances, such as office fridges, per item
- Heavy items over 90kg, per item
- Stairs, per flight
- Each additional pick-up or drop-off location
- Each extra trip between loading and unloading
- A driveway the truck cannot access
- Hoisting, per item
Waiting time is chargeable where delivery cannot be completed in a timely manner, and parking or permit costs apply where relevant. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
What sits outside the moving service
Licensed trade work is not included, so electrical, plumbing and data cabling work, including disconnecting plumbed-in fridges or coffee machines, should be booked with your own trades. IT disconnection and network setup are also not included: your IT provider should disconnect, back up and reconnect computers, servers and network equipment. We do not transport hazardous goods.
One team for the office, the warehouse and the clear-out
Many businesses run more than an office. If your relocation includes a warehouse, storeroom or showroom, we can scope it alongside the office move so stock and equipment are sequenced with everything else. Our warehouse removals page explains what we need to know.
A move is also the right moment to stop paying to relocate things you no longer need. Old desks, broken chairs and surplus equipment can go to junk removal instead of the new premises. Our packing service can take care of archives, kitchens and shared areas so your staff stay focused on their own work. Moving furniture or records in or out of storage? We handle storage transfers as well.
We service all of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, including business relocations between the two in either direction along the M1. Whether you are moving a team from Milton to Southport or bringing a Robina office into a Brisbane headquarters, the travel basis is confirmed before booking. Commercial jobs in Logan, Ipswich, Redlands, Moreton Bay and further afield are welcome too.

Built for businesses that value reliability over the lowest quote
Choosing commercial removalists in Brisbane comes down to one question: will they do what they said they would? Our approach is simple. We tell you the full cost structure up front, raise access issues early and decline work we cannot complete legally or safely. We would rather do that than win a job on a low number and surprise you later.
When you request a quote, your enquiry goes straight to our dedicated sales team, who aim to call you back within five minutes during business hours (8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday).
To get the most accurate office relocation quote, have your current and new addresses ready, including floor levels, along with your preferred date, any building work windows, a rough inventory or floor plan and the access details at both ends. Let us know if you need packing, junk removal or an after-hours move, and we will build it into the plan.
Planning the whole move? Our office relocation checklist sets it out week by week.
Office move checklist: what to sort before moving day
- Appoint one move coordinator who can make decisions on the day and is our main point of contact.
- Book goods lifts, loading docks, parking and after-hours access at both buildings, and confirm the permitted move times with building management.
- Share a floor plan of the new premises with desk numbers or zones, then label every item and carton to match.
- Arrange your IT provider to back up, disconnect and later reconnect computers, servers, phones and network equipment.
- Pack confidential files into sealed, clearly marked archive boxes and decide who keeps business-critical items with them.
- Book licensed trades to disconnect anything hard-wired or plumbed in, such as coffee machines or under-bench appliances.
- List heavy and fragile items, such as safes, stone-topped tables and glass furniture, so they can be assessed before the day.
- Decide what is not coming and book junk removal for old furniture and surplus equipment, rather than moving it twice.
